SIGIS2
Stand-Off Gas Imaging system - remote detection and identification of dangerous gases
The SIGIS2 is a chemical stand-off detection system - offering Identification and Gas Imaging with high performance. The instrument uses FTIR spectrometry with a passive operation principle - background radiation is enough for analysis.
The SIGIS2 is designed to perform measurements of gas clouds from a safe distance and to estimate the potential danger. Its superior specifications make it a capable tool in first response and catastrophe management. Large areas are supervised for hazardous chemicals at public events.
The SIGIS2 measures the infrared fingerprint spectrum and delivers a real time image of the landscape overlaid with a false colors display representing the identified substances, their concentration or other analytical numbers. The scanner can be programmed to supervise areas in 60° x 360° - complete autonomous operation. SIGIS achieves unique sensitivity at large distances up to several kilometers.
Various applications make use of the SIGIS analyzer being located at elevated positions in a stadium or within vehicles.
