Hand Pump:  
The EDU3 can suck in the sample independently. For mobile applications it may be more adequate to bring the sample to the adsorption tube through the use of a hand pump.  

Cartridges:
For the transport of the adsorbent tubes, it must be avoided that these become damaged or that results are compromised due to passive interference. To avoid such situation Airsense has developed specific cartridges which can also be used for GC/MS applications.

Adsorbent tubes:
Airsense is offering specific adsorbent tubes for different applications requiring thermal desorption:

• Tenax TA
• Tenax GR
• Combination of Tenax TA and Active charcoal
• Carbosieve SIII
• Carbotrap B, C, E
• and other solution upon request

Spray & Trap:
The analysis of water samples requires an extraction step in which the required organic compounds need to be enriched onto an adsorbent to be able to carry out the thermal desorption analysis. During the extraction the water is sprayed.

The enlarged surface makes it possible that  the  organic  compounds will easier transformed into the gas phase. Afterwards the enriched Air will  transfered  to the adsorbent tube.
